Farm machinary working on a flooded field

Transition Stroud convenes meetings of a district-wide Forum for representatives from local climate action groups to share information and learning, and discuss the potential for initiatives that can help tackle the Climate Emergency.

The Forum provides a link to Stroud District Council’s Carbon Neutral team, enabling communication and discussion between the Council and local group representatives around local issues, including the Stroud Carbon Neutral 2030 strategy.

Read the notes from previous meetings and follow links to projects and information. If you wish to find out more, join a local group or attend the forum meeting, please contact us.

About GreenSeen

Imagine having a website that shows you, in one place, all the events and activities about nature, the environment, climate change and anything eco in Gloucestershire.  Any organisation or group will be able to post their event and have links to their own website, booking links and contact details. Get an early introduction at this pre-launch walkthrough of the service, and help us it to be a brilliant resource for all of us.

This project is sponsored by Summerfield Trust and Stroud Town Council.

Last CAN Forum event

The last Forum meeting was on Monday 20th November, 6:30-7:30pm and was an opportunity learn more about Transition Stroud and The Bike Drop‘s new community e-bike hire scheme and how to become a community partner. All CANs are invited in addition to any community group, shop or Parish / Town council who is interested becoming a partner in the scheme. Please email admin@transitionstroud.org for an invitation.

Project information and access to the presentation slides from this session are on the Transition Stroud project page.
